I will be your thought partner, the shoulder you lean on, and your guide on the side. I will help you manage the process step by step, prioritize the issues that matter most to you, and strategize how you relate to everyone involved in your divorce situation.

You will build the skills to pause before you react, shift your mindset so you are grounded in your values, and find the confidence to communicate more effectively with everyone involved in your process. You'll leave with a way of making decisions that serves you throughout your divorce—and long after it's over.

Through divorce coaching, we’ll work together to help you identify and prioritize the issues that are most important to you. When you are clear on what’s most important, you rediscover your confidence.

FAQs

How do I know if I need a divorce coach?

1

I recommend anyone considering divorce, should work with a divorce coach. The divorce coach is like your primary care physician who is at the center of your divorce team. We help you plan for your process. We help you build your team. When you feel overwhelmed, struggle with making decisions about your future, or need support in coping with the emotional aspects of divorce, I can be your guide on the side. My values-based coaching is designed to provide clarity, reduce stress, and equip you with organizational and communication tools you need to move forward.

Why would I need a divorce coach if I have a lawyer?

2

Divorce is so much more than a legal problem. As your divorce coach, I am committed to giving you the tools to uncover your own strengths and demystify the process. I know this is overwhelming for you, and I know you may be terrified. I am here to walk the path with you so you gain clarity, feel empowered and know you are supported. A client who works with a divorce coach has better communication with their attorney, shows up more regulated in mediation or in court, and becomes a more self-assured co-parent during the process and into the future.

What's the difference between a divorce coach and a therapist?

3

While a therapist can help you explore and heal from past emotional traumas, a divorce coach focuses on your present and future. As your divorce coach, I help you navigate your divorce process, open your eyes to different options available and offer strategic guidance on how you can shift your mindset and move from uncertainty to clarity. Specifically, as your coach, I help you become the driver of your own divorce  process.

Can a divorce coach provide legal advice?

4

No. I cannot provide legal advice. However, I can help you understand the legal process, what happens when, what forms you need and how to prepare. Additionally, I help you understand the different types of divorce processes available, including mediation, arbitration and collaborative divorce. By knowing there are alternatives to litigation, you can make knowledgeable decisions about what process is right for you. When you need specific legal advice, I guide you to consult with an attorney.

You don't have to navigate this chapter alone.

Whether you’re at the beginning asking “how do I start” or “who am I to blow up my family,” or stuck in the weeds not knowing how to communicate with your soon-to-be-ex, I’m here to help.

Let’s schedule a 20-min chat to see if we’re a good fit.
